Former Texas Officer Convicted Of Manslaughter In Shooting Death Of Black Woman

Former Texas police officer Aaron Dean was found guilty of manslaughter in the shooting death of a Black woman at her home in Fort Worth. Dean was responding to Atatiana Jefferson’s home after a concerned neighbor called a nonemergency line to say he noticed an open front door. Dean faces two to 20 years in prison for the conviction.
