Lawmakers grill TikTok’s CEO over app’s safety and security

TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew testified before Congress for more than five hours on Thursday as lawmakers push for a nationwide ban on the app, citing concerns over security, data storage and possible connections to China’s government.
